All Packed Up And Ready To Go…!

Graphicast will be at the Design 2 Part show in Marlborough Massachusetts November 2 & 3.  The show is at the Royal Plaza Trade Center, 181 Boston Post Road, Marlborough MA 01752

Please stop by and say hello.  We would enjoy seeing you to discuss our process or any project requirements you have.

This is our last show of 2011 and is right in our backyard, giving us the opportunity to get the real pulse of what is happening in New England.

Economy Recovering in the Mountain States

Graphicast participated at the AMCON Show in Denver, held in the spacious and modern Colorado Convention Center.  Upon arriving at the Center, we were greeted by a menacing 40 foot “Blue Bear”  statue which appeared to be peaking into the Convention Center.  The 10,000 pound bear is made up of 4,000 interlocking triangles!

It could be another ride on the economic recovery roller coaster, but it was refreshing to meet a number of visitors to our booth who are working on new part designs with a casting process in mind. Two of the visitors stated that their companies have made a decision to move manufacturing back to the USA from China.  The rising cost to manufacture there, coupled with the high scrap rate and supply chain management costs, triggered the move.

Many of the small business exhibitors expressed a continuing lack of confidence in a sustained economic recovery. Even with this caution, the consensus was that things are clearly better.  The activity at this trade show certainly supports this.

Graphicast on the Road at AmCon, Denver, April 26 and 27

Graphicast will be in Denver from April 26, 2011 – April 27, 2011, exhibiting at the  AmCon (American Contract Manufacturing) Show. We will be in Booth 416. Stop by for the latest information on our cost saving metal casting technology.

From the Field – Manufacturing is Ready to Roll

Graphicast participated in two trade shows last week, one in Marlborough, MA and the other outside of Toronto. That this was the first time we attended two shows at the same time is, in itself, an indication of the activity level in manufacturing. The view from the show floor was an even better indicator of the market. Both shows were very crowded, even over the lunch period, and the interest level was very high. This was not a week for just getting out of the office. Our reading is that manufacturing in New England and southern Ontario is coming back quickly, and with lots of energy. There is definitely interest in on-shoring production that had been sent overseas, and lots of new products ready to hit the market. We are following up on leads this week and will have all our sales people out of the office making calls; another sign of interest and a reboundin market.

We’re also seeing this rebounding  in shipments. Our September shipments were the highest in two years. The only downside is the volatility of the activity. The trend is up year to year, but on a month to month basis we seem to be in the three forward, one backward mode.

Graphicast Goes To Canada – Manufacturing Innovations – Medical

Graphicast will be exhibiting at the SME show “Manufacturing Innovations – Medical“, November 3 & 4 at the International Centre, Mississauga (Toronto) Canada.

Toronto is the heart of Canada’s medical manufacturing industry. Manufacturing Innovations – Medical is the Nation’s first focused event that connects medical manufacturers with companies that supply the technology and equipment they need to improve quality, innovation and speed to market.

Graphicast is excited to be hopping the boarder for the first time and participating in this show.  To register for the show Click Here.

Graphicast to Exhibit in Fall Trade Shows

Graphicast will again be actively participating in fall trade shows aimed at matching buyers and contract manufacturers. We will be at the Design to Part exhibits in Secaucus, NJ on September 28 and 29, and in Marlborough, MA on November 3 and 4. We will also have a new booth this year, highlighting the various stages of the design and production cycle and how we can help you meet your needs of quality, delivery, and costs. We look forward to seeing you. Bring you ideas, drawings, or prototypes.

Graphicast will be participating in the D2P show June 15-16, 2010 at the St. Charles Convention Center in St. Charles, MO. If you attend, please stop by our booth #216 to see the latest custom graphite mold castings.
